General Performance Index©

(GPI: General Performance Index): "It is an index that measures the performance that a tennis player has had in a given period of time." This index, not shown here, is used to make the "General Performance Ranking© or GPI Ranking© ".

In the month of March, Roger Federer, John Isner and Felix Auger-Aliassime have led the Top 30 of the General Performance Ranking© in practically the 9 tables that are exposed in this report.

6 of the Top 10 of the ATP Ranking are included in the Top 30 of the General Performance Ranking©. It is striking the absence of the young German Alexander Zverev in this Top 30 of the GPI Ranking©.

John Isner, this March, has experienced an improvement in the return of the 1st and 2nd services which, added to the high percentage of his services in terms of his placement and the points won with them, has allowed him to occupy the second place in the podium of the General Performance Ranking© or GPI Ranking©.

About Roger Federer there is little to add, at this point we all know his extraordinary talent for playing tennis. We will miss him a lot when the moment of his farewell of the tennis arrives which is not very far away. The most important thing about Federer is, at least for whom who write this report, his "ability to anticipate the rivals moves".

The other player highlighted this month, and I think he will give to talk in the future, is the young Canadian player Felix Auger-Aliassime. This young player, recently arrived at the world tennis circuit, is drawing attention for his talent. He already said "here I am" in the South American tennis tour reaching decisive rounds in the Rio Open (Finalist), Brasil Open (Quarterfinals) and a few days ago reached the semifinals at the Miami Open, defeated by who could be considered the best server of the moment John Isner.

The Top 30 players of the GPI Ranking© are the ones that have stood out during the month of March for their performance in the tournaments.

Soon we will be delivering a quarterly report that will analyze these same concepts. We assume that, some players will stand out more one month than in another. The interesting thing will be to see the General Performance Ranking© for a longer period of time, 3 months in this case. Here the concept of "regularity" in the season is implicit.

Next, the tables of the Top 30 are shown in each aspect analyzed.
