General Performance Index©
(GPI: General Performance Index): "It is an index that measures the performance that a tennis player has had in a given period of time." This index, not shown here, is used to make the "General Performance Ranking© or GPI Ranking© ".
The following tournaments, which corre-spond to those started in the month of June, have been included for the determination of the Top 30 of the General Performance Ranking©:

  • Croatia Bol Open – 125K Series
  • Libema Open – International
  • Nature Valley Open – International
  • Mallorca Open – International
  • Nature Valley Classic – Premier
  • Nature Valley International – Premier
The WTA Ranking of the players, which has been considered for this report, is on July 1st, 2019.
The performances of the Top 30 of the GPI Ranking© in the six above mentioned tour-naments, which started in June, are shown in table 3, where it shows up to the round the players have reached in the tournaments.


Regard the 137 players, whom participated in these six tournaments and who compound the statistic sample that has been considered for the statistical calculations, only the 30 that have achieved the best performance in the mentioned tournaments are exposed.
We highlight, the podium conformed by An-gelique Kerber (GER), Sara Sorribes Tormo (ESP) and Caroline Garcia (FRA) in positions 1, 2 and 3 of the GPI Ranking©, respectively. Other players highlighted in the TOP 10 of the GPI Ranking© are: Kiki Bertens (NED), Tamara Zidansek (SLO), Ekaterina Ale-xandrova (RUS), Ons Jabeur (TUN), Belinda Bencic (SUI), Elise Mertens ( BEL) and Karolina Pliskova (CZE). See table 1.
It can be seen that from the WTA Ranking’s Top 10 only appear, Ashley Barty (1), Ka-rolina Pliskova (3), Kiki Bertens (4) and Angelique Kerber (5) in the Top 30 of the GPI Ranking© for the month of June (table 1).
In table 2, you can also see the same infor-mation as in table 1 and is that only the 4 Top 10 players of the WTA Ranking mentioned above, are included in the Top 30 of the GPI Ranking©. Moreover, only 12 Top 30 of the WTA Ranking are included in the Top 30 of the GPI Ranking© (See table 2 to verify).
