TOP 30 OF THE GENERAL PERFORMANCE RANKING - January 2020 - WTA

General Performance Index©
(GPI: General Performance Index): "It is an index that measures the performance that a tennis player has had in a given period of time." This index, not shown here, is used to make the "General Performance Ranking© or GPI Ranking© ".

The following tournaments, which corre-spond to those started in the month of Jan-uary, have been included for the determina-tion of the Top 30 of the General Perfor-mance Ranking©:

•    Shenzhen Open – International.
•    Brisbane International – Premier 5.
•    ASB Classic – International.
•    Adelaide International – Premier.
•    Hobart International – International.
•    Australian Open – Grand Slam.
•    Oracle Challenger Series – 125K.

The WTA Ranking of the players, which has been considered for this report, is on February 3rd, 2020.

Regard the 176 players, who participated in these seven tournaments and who compound the statistic sample that has been considered for the statistical calculations, only the 30 that have achieved the best performance in the mentioned tournaments are exposed (table 1).

We highlight, the podium conformed by Garbiñe Muguruza (ESP), Elena Rybaki-na (KAZ) and Sofía Kenin (USA) in posi-tions 1, 2 and 3 of the GPI Ranking©, re-spectively.

Other players highlighted in the TOP 10 of the GPI Ranking© are: Ashley Barty (AUS), Elise Mertens (BEL), Serena Wil-liams (USA), Shuai Zhang (CHI), Madi-son Keys (USA), Ekaterina Alexandrova (RUS) y Petra Kvitova (CZE). See table 1.

Next, the tables with their respective per-formance rankings or GPI Ranking© are exposed as is usual, in each analyzed aspect of the 30 players that achieved the highest performances during the analysis period.
